Rum Bacardi Carta Blanca Superior. First made in 1862, Bacardi rum is the authentic, easy to mix, lightweight rum that ages for one to two years in selected oak barrels. Bacardi Superior has a clean and clear look, mild taste and strong vanilla aromas combined with notes of nuts and tropical fruits. The finish is dry and soft. Facundo Bacardi started the revolution in the spirits industry in 1862 when he began production in Santiago, Cuba. It is said that the bat in the Bacardi symbol comes from the fruit bats in the family distillery in Santiago.
