Wine Gerovassiliou Estate Museum Collection Red. The Museum Collection Red is a combination of the Estate's five red varieties, Limnio, Mavroudi, Mavrotragano, Syrah and Merlot. After multiple tastings, Vangelis Gerovassiliou selects the oak barrels with the optimal maturation and the best organoleptic characteristics, to create a collectible wine with rich aromatic characteristics and long shelf life. It has a bright deep purple color and a complex bouquet of ripe black fruits (wild cherry, blackcurrant) as well as notes of tobacco and spices, the result of its long interaction with French oak. In the mouth it appears lively, successfully balancing with the well-crafted tannins and its concentrated aroma, giving it a long aftertaste. Serve at 16-18 °C. Game, lamb with vegetables, red meat fillets, grilled red and white meats, hard cheeses.
