Wine Palacios Remondo La Vendimia Rioja Red. La Vendimia falls into the category of Rioja Joven, according to the ‘joven’ we also call it in Greece, that is, in Riojas that are released to the market young. Although the law does not require barrel aging, here we have a maturation of about five months in old large barrels, while Tempranillo is 50% of the blend, the highest percentage in the Rioja of Palacios Remondo, the rest being Garnacha (as the Spanish call Grenache). La Vendimia is a very good introduction to Rioja wines and it lacks neither complexity nor finesse.
